I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist who specialises in working with children, adolescents and young adults. I completed my doctoral training at the University of Bath and since then I have been working in child and adolescent mental health services.
I am a down to earth individual who aims to explain things simply and succinctly. I am an open, honest, warm therapist who will always strive to remain curious so that I can help develop a share understanding of what is going on. I can also be direct in my approach if this is required.
I aim to work alongside the young person and their parent/s to ensure that therapy is a positive experience, delivered in a professional and supportive manner. The level of parental involvement will be discussed in the initial assessment session, but typically the younger the child, the more involved the parent is.
I have a special interest in OCD and have lots of experience in using ERP to overcome symptoms of OCD. I am a specialist in providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and I am accredited with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BABCP).
